There are many types of network for phone or data comunication, some requiring cabling and some that don't. We first identify the problems and then apply a network cabling solution to that problem. Fibre cabling can improve network speed and quality but could be innapropriate for certain conditions. For basic phone systems a cat5 cabling solution could answer your prayers.
For an optimum Cat5e cable installation the installer should have knowledge of the physical limits of Cat5e cable as wire length can have a significant effect on efficient communication. Repeaters should be used to boost the signal along the cat5e cable over long distances to ensure a succesful cat5e installation. The twisted pairs of wires used in cat5e installations usually appear in two colour orders 1.white/green | green | white/orange | blue | white/blue | orange | white/brown | brown 2. white/orange | orange | white/green | blue | white/blue | green | white/brown | brown
Cat6 cable can be no longer than 100m in length, so in order for quality communication or communication at all installation of cat6 cable should consider this factor. Cat6 installation is often used for communication for fast networks such a gigbit ethernet, and can be used for pc to pc direct communciation if the wiring is configured appropriately. The cat6 cable is configured with the same colour scheme as cat5e usually and for effective cabling installation the same colour scheme should be implemented throughout the installation.
